Pinewood Studios

Push Creativity & Rich Creative
Year: 2010
Status: Pitch
Services: Site Development

Pinewood Studios invited Rich Creative to pitch for the development of their new website, which is planned for launch in 2011. Working with Rich Creative and their colleagues at Push Creativity I helped develop a working mock up of the proposed site design. The brief from Pinewood Studios stated that the new site would need to be created in an Open Source CMS with various additional requirements, in response to which I recommended Joomla! with a number of Open Source modules to achieve the required functionality.

In addition to the Open Source requirement, Pinewood Studios were keen to ensure that the final site be accessible on iPad to enable their sales team to show the products and information to prospective clients at any location across the latest mobile platform. In response to this, and after experiencing a number of quirks in the iPad browser experience, we developed an iPad optimised version of the site, including the use of HTML5 video.

Leanne Stephen

Year: 2010
Status: Closed
Services: Domain Management, Site Hosting, Site Design & Development

Leanne Stephen is one of Great Britain's top Para Table Tennis players. She had previously worked with another developer, but had been unable to update her site as she needed. We discussed her requirements, the main aim of the site being to provide people information about her, her disability and her training and competition schedule. Leanne is representing Great Britain at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, 2010, and is hoping to represent Great Britain in the 2012 London Paralympics. With this site she hopes to raise her profile nationally and internationally, as well as keep local supporters up to date with her activities. Leanne supplied her new logo and the site design was inspired by this. As Leanne travels across the world competing and training, it was important that she be able to update her site wherever she is in the world, so this site was built with a bespoke Content Management System.
